I shot these yesterday in the studio. I went over there wanting to a picture over Stephen bent over with his face in the shadows but they didn't turn out the best so I took out the fisheye and got some good shots from an upper perspective. I definitely played around with the lights a lot to try and get a good shadow and it ended up working best when the soft box was on the floor at Stephen's feet pointing up. I really like the perspective that I got with the fisheye in this shoot.

Very nice job. Nice writeup and thank you for shooting LOTS to try and get what you want. It is important to shoot a large number of photos, the only way that you will get better is to shoot more and more, and TRY different things. If it doesn't work, well at least you tried!
Nice shadow portrait and I agree with you, the fisheye works well!
