I was so ready to get some shots on urban rails this week because of all the snow we got in town but by the time we were ready it was gone! I thought we were possibly going to be able to shoot this rail last night so I went and scoped out some angles yesterday afternoon and this is one of the better ones.
There's a lot of clutter in this angle but at night with strobes most of it will be gone and the rider will pop a ton. I was going to get one strobe behind the sign and the other off to my right. I just hope it snows one more time. If we get the opportunity to hit this spot this year I'll be ready.
After scoping the spot I went home and probably did the most point and shoot thing I could have, I took pictures of my dogs. Definitely was not planning on posting these but I was extremely surprised at how good they turned out. I really think I captured some good action in these shots. The light was really good as long as I kept them out of the shadows.

I love the pictures of your dogs! I'm not sure about your rail ideas, but what would I know. I think the best picture you posted today was defiantly the last one with your little dog with half of him?her in the shadows and the other half in the sun. I love the eyes and I think you did a good job.
