Edited

So here's the edited version of this studio shot in the earlier post. We cropped it in, adjusted the levels, adjusted the hue/saturation, used unsharp mask, blurred the background a little, dodged a few areas on the face, and finally just a few touch ups on the face. Tell me what you think.

s6- looks pretty nice. Watch the tutorial videos that I got for you, it will be well worth your time.

Once we get CS3- which we will be getting very soon, I will show you all about adjustment layers.....wait, Elements has them. They are a much better way to make adjustments. Keep shooting. Shoot lots and lots, it is the only way that you will improve. play with the studio lights, find a portrait online or in a magazine that you want to copy and try to copy the lighting in that image.

Like the pic, but you should try blurring out the back ground a little. and then putting a little color back in her face. A cool way to do that is to copy the layer, then use a 1px Gaussian blur then set that layer to overlay.
